1. The Annunciation.
By the’Arch-an-gel’s_ word of love,
That_ an_-nounced Thee_ from a-bove;
By that grace to_ Ma-ry giv’n,
by Thy first de_-scent from_ heav’n;

2. The Visitation.
By that jour-ney_ made in haste,

3. The Birth of our Lord.

  1. Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. – Matthew 1:23

4. The Presentation of our Lord.
By the joy of_ Si-meon blest,

5. The Finding of our Lord.
By our La-dy’s_ glad de-light,
In_ the_ tem-ple_, at the sight,
Of her Child so_ young and fair,

  1. And his parents went every year to Jerusalem, at the solemn day of the pasch. – Luke 2:41
