The Chaplet of Divine Mercy prayer and the hymns on this page, stem from the extremely ancient, Old Testament Book of Numbers (14th Century B.C.), through the Crucifixion, the central event of human history, to the origin of the more recent hymn for this page, Hymns of the heart: for the use of Catholics in 1848. The great antiquity of these sources is evidence that The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is thoroughly traditional in the old Catholic sense.

by Matthew Bridges. Richardson and Son, London, 1848.
St. Faustina Kowalska would have been considered a Traditional Catholic, if the designation had been of issue within her lifetime.
Everything in her diary pertaining to liturgical ceremonials, is referring to the usus antiquior.

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
Our Father
Hail Mary

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.…
